The purpose of worship is to come into the presence of God to receive His gifts, and to respond with praise and thanksgiving. We receive the gift of life throught he good news of Jesus love and forgiveness. This love and forgiveness is delivered through the teaching and the two sacraments of Baptisma nd the Lord's Supper.

In Romans 12:1, Paul begins with the word “therefore,” pointing us back to everything God has done. Our faith begins with God’s mercy, not our performance. Because of that mercy, we can look at ourselves and recognize that our whole lives belong to Jesus.
We can also look around and see that we are all part of the body of Christ. Some youth served in Detroit through Camp Restore, while parents, leaders and the congregation supported them in different ways. We each have different gifts and roles, but together we are one body in Christ.
